Social Entrepreneurship on Human Mobility in Urban Settings among Young People in South and Southeast Asia
Across South and Southeast Asia, social entrepreneurial initiatives by the youth navigate the narrowing of civic spaces and limited safe channels for meaningful participation. Given the strategic position of the youth to respond to human mobility challenges, the presence of an enabling environment is essential to harness the potential of the youth in developing inclusive, effective and sustainable solutions. This knowledge product explores the current state of human mobility in the Philippines, Pakistan, and Viet Nam and examines notable social entrepreneurial initiatives in these countries for migrants. The findings are then used to determine interventions and opportunities that can be generated to provide livelihood and access to key services, promote social cohesion, and enhance climate and disaster resilience.
